This is where you can manage the master list of countries that can be selected when adding an address in LOCATE.

List View

Filters
Countries may be sorted on Name, Abbreviation (2), or Abbreviation (3) by clicking the filter heading. You may filter for countries that match specific criteria by typing a value in the text field or selecting an option from the drop-down list. Clicking the Clear Filters button will clear your search. Any filters that are applied in list view will carry over to the List Navigator on the Profile Page.
Quick Action
  • Delete Country - Remove the country from the list view and archive the record in LOCATE. This action cannot be undone from the list view. You may not delete the standard countries that are pre-loaded in LOCATE.

Clicking on a specific country name takes you to the Profile Page for that country.

Country Profile Page

The country name is the title of the page, but the Details will be the main tab. Here, you may view the country name, two (2) character abbreviation, three (3) character abbreviation, the default setting, and the country divisions. To edit this information, click Edit Details on the right-hand side.

Name
  • The full country name will be displayed here.
2 Character Abbreviation
  • If the address requires a two (2) character abbreviation for the country, it will pull from here. For more information about addresses, continue here.
3 Character Abbreviation
  • If the address requires a three (3) character abbreviation for the country, it will pull from here. For more information about addresses, continue here.
Default Country
  • This will flag the country as default for the company, and will auto-populate when creating a new address. Addresses that are auto-populated from the customer or vendor will take priority. You can only select one default country.
Country Divisions
  • Country divisions are the states, provinces, or other sub-divisions of countries.
  • Country divisions may sorted on Name, Abbreviation and Type by clicking the filter heading.
  • Division types may be one of the following:
    1. District
    2. Municipality
    3. Province
    4. Region
    5. State
      • Abbreviations are not required for state divisions.
      • The state divisions for the United States of America will come pre-populated in LOCATE.
  • You may edit or delete a particular country division by clicking Edit or Delete, respectively.

  • View and edit all of the country's information and associated divisions.

Site Fulfillment

  • Here you may designate which site(s) should be priority for fulfilling orders for which the customer's shipping address is in the country or country division specified. For more information about site fulfillment, continue here.

Actions

  • Removes the country from the list view and archives the record in LOCATE. This action cannot be undone in the list view.

Create Country

Countries can be created from either the List View or the Country Profile Page.

  1. Click New Country
  2. Fields
    • Name - Enter the full name of the new country.
    • 2 Character Abbreviation - Enter the two (2) character country abbreviation.
    • 3 Character Abbreviation - Enter the three (3) character country abbreviation.
    • Default Country - Select whether or not the new country will be default for your company.
  3. Click Save
    • If you are adding multiple countries, click Save and New to redirect the page to create another country.

Once you add or modify a country, you'll want to refresh your browser to see the changes you've made throughout LOCATE.

Create Country Divisions

Country Divisions are created and modified on the Country Profile Page.

  1. Use the header sorting and filters to find the country to which you would like to add divisions.
  2. Click the country Name hyperlink.
  3. In the Country Divisions section, enter the name, two (2) or three (3) letter abbreviation and the type.
  4. Click Save

Manage Priority Site Fulfillment

Site Fulfillment is a feature which automatically assigns sales order line items to be fulfilled from specified priority sites, based on the shipping address on the order.

Enable Site Fulfillment
If priority sites are associated to countries or country divisions, this feature will be enabled. This will apply to orders imported into LOCATE (i.e., eCommerce platforms), or users may check to "Automatically Determine" the site while creating a sales order or quote manually.
Site Fulfillment Validation
LOCATE will determine the appropriate site through the steps outlined below. (Note: Line items must be fulfilled in full from a single site. If the item cannot be fulfilled from one site, LOCATE will try the next site based on priority.)
  1. Country division priority sites, in order by priority.
  2. Country priority sites, in order by priority.
  3. Any lines which could not be fulfilled will have no site assigned.

Re-prioritize Sites

Site priority may be rearranged at any time via simple click-and-drag. Note: You must sort the list by Priority (not Site) in order to use this feature.

For Countries
  1. Navigate to the country profile page.
  2. Click onto the Site Fulfillment tab.
  3. Hover over the priority number for the line you would like to rearrange until a cross-cursor appears.
  4. Click and drag the site into the new order.
  5. Click Save Priority.
For Country Divisions
  1. Navigate to the country profile page and scroll down to the Country Divisions section.
  2. Click the Edit drop-down menu next to the appropriate country division.
  3. Select Manage Site Fulfillment.
  4. Hover over the priority number for the line you would like to rearrange until a cross-cursor appears.
  5. Click and drag the site into the new order.
  6. Click Save Priority.

The sites will now be reassigned the correct priority number based on the order specified.

Delete Country

Countries may be deleted from the list view under the Quick Actions Menu, or:

  1. Navigate to the country you would like to delete.
  2. Click Actions, and select Delete Country.
  3. When prompted, click Yes.

Address records previously created with the deleted country will remain the same.
